Founder and MD
James Keeling FCMA, CGMA, MCSI
James’ professional achievements span three distinct areas having started out as a scientist in medical research with the Wellcome Foundation and GlaxoSmithKline, before moving into the world of commercial finance in Pharmaceuticals, switching sectors to work for a global Telecoms company BT, and for a period being based in Hong Kong, before moving back into the Life Sciences sector as CFO of Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst and founding JGK Financial Management.

James is a highly experienced commercial finance professional, with his main focus in recent years being on supporting the R&D ecosystem, guiding start up and growth companies, on their strategy to drive and deliver innovation, sustainable profitable growth, investment and finance solutions which has included c-suite leadership roles in EU and UK CleanTech and Biotech companies.

He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), a Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (MCSI) and Fellow of the IOD.

Associate Director
Daniel Saint-Davis CGMA
An associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Daniel is dedicated, personable, and commercially astute with experience gained in the UK and Internationally in PE-backed Technology businesses.

Daniel's interests are in early-stage technology businesses, he specialises in business partnering executives, business case planning, financial modelling, and funding. He's also big on automation, leveraging Cloud Accounting software efficiently meet the needs of young businesses.

Sam Galuszka ACCA
JGK FM is supported by Roycian, a private investment office, through Sam.
Roycian invests in later-stage SMEs, working directly with management teams to support them through the next stage of their growth and often preparing them for institutional-grade investment.
Sam was previously the Finance Manager at Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst in Hertfordshire, where he worked alongside James on monthly reporting, business continuity and improvement and revenue assurance activities, as well as managed the year end audit.
Prior to this, Sam was an Accounting Contractor and gained a variety of experience through Financial Planning and Analysis, monthly management reporting and Complex Restructuring projects for clients such as Duff & Phelps (now Kroll). Sam is well-equipped as a finance professional having worked directly with various businesses across multiple sectors and industries as an auditor and understands what a good finance function should look like.
Sam achieved his ACCA qualified status in 2018 whilst at Grant Thornton and spent five years in the firm’s commercial audit department in the Milton Keynes, Norwich and St Albans offices.
Sam is an avid 5-a-side footballer and has a keen interest in science and maths. Sam brings a private equity perspective and has a keen interest in really getting to grips with what makes companies tick to help them on their way to growth.

Financial Consultant
Paulina Lis
Paulina is a Financial Consultant for a number of JGK FM clients, advising and assisting them on financial best practice and processes.
Paulina started her finance career at The Deltic Group in 2019, before the group was bought out by PE-backed REKOM during the COVID-19 pandemic. Before moving into her role as one of the company’s Commercial Finance Specialists, Paulina was responsible for preparing and managing the departmental head office accounts and also worked across the business as part of the central finance team on monthly reporting, financial analysis and day-to-day finance activities. She also spent time in the company’s credit control, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable departments.
As a result of her broad experience across these parts of the finance function, Paulina understands the importance of stakeholder management and the benefits of partnering effectively with the rest of the business.
Paulina has a BSc in Accounting & Finance from Marie Curie-Sklodowska University and a Master’s in International Management and International Relations from Oxford Brookes. She is a member of CMI and on her way to achieving fully-qualified CIMA status.
Outside of work, Paulina is an aspiring gardener, a versatile baker and loves spending time with her fluffy cat, Luna.
